…or you’ll just mess everything up.
My Dad probably has this perspective - not for all things, of course. Just for this certain thing. And I think, I’m kinda getting it too. And again, for this certain thing ONLY.:P
Anyway, Ma’s take on this is different. Fix it before it gets broken, so you don’t have to deal with the mess, bigger mess later. If you’ve asked me a few weeks back, I would 100% agree with Ma. But now, nah-uh (for THIS thing), so here’s why.
I woke up this morning, like any ordinary day. Kinda happy that I wasn’t woken by the light hitting my face (because it has been like that for most of summer). I noticed that it was raining, really hard. When I went out of the bedroom, I saw water (lots of it) dripping from the ceiling. Part of the hallway was soaking wet.
Yes, it was the damn ROOF. The roof that got “fixed” over summer (for no reason, well, there is but you know what I mean).
I called my mom and told her about the problem (the problem that wasn’t supposed to be there) and she asked me to dry the floor (to try to dry the floor), lay big plastic bags, put rags and basins.
I got pissed, I just woke up, and I get welcomed by this dripping water, ruining the wooden floor. You know how wood is when it gets soaked. But what really pissed me off is that our roof before it got fixed, never leaked at all. Bad trip.
My mom got the roof fixed over summer- that’s what I thought. Come to think of it, there isn’t really anything to fix because it ain’t broken. I didn’t know they were going to replace the whole thing, and I didn’t think it would cost so much.
According to Ma, the roof was getting old and all-rusty, I didn’t see that and I doubt that my mom has seen it too because she has never gone up there. But I know for a fact that it’s really old, because it’s the same roof since our parents have the house built- that’s as old as my brother, 25.
The rainy season has also started, and it was a good call from mom having it fixed, it was about time. They tried to fix it, but when it rained, it leaked again so I had to hustle and put all the stuff in place. They fixed it again. Good thing, they’ve finally got it, no leaks. And if there were any leaks, I’m gonna unleash the monster in me and let the fixers cover the holes with their hands even if it‘s raining. I’m not gonna do that, but I have imagined myself, in some alternate/parallel universe, doing that. Haha
From this experience, I wanted to say that I did learn something, but I’m quite sure about that. It was a good call and I appreciate that my mom thought of it and prepared ahead of time.
Although Charles is a man of few words, this time, he had something to say:
‘Pag hindi sira, sirain. ‘Saka mo ayusin. That actually kind of made sense. Haha:)

Popping the Thought Bubbles - The doodle notebook | journal version
This probably is my first personal journal entry since the “diary days” (that was like 12 years ago, I think. And I never really wrote anything on those (those 10+ diaries) religiously. I just bought a bunch of diaries (now we call them journals, to get rid of that “Dear Diary” effect), because all my girlfriends when I was 9 have those or “write” on those little cute diaries. It is actually more of doodling little hearts plus name of latest crush, with details of a very brief interaction which is a pa-cute paaway effect, and at the end, trying out the FLAMES matching thing, making E engagement instead of enemy, in hopes of being the perfect match for one’s true love - crush. I think I just described mine.:P
When I was still in school (yes! “was still in school” feel na feel, na graduate na.hehe), teachers/professors ask us to keep a journal, so I did. But it wasn’t really as satisfying or fulfilling as I thought it would be. I thought then that the journal will relieve me from stress or from whatever’s bothering me. I’ll just write it down, so I can keep my mouth shut (if I can). Thing is, they’re gonna check it, and I think they wouldn’t really appreciate me whining about the drinking water, because it ain’t cold. I figured it would be better if you do it on your own, without anyone pushing you to do it or requiring you to do it. But I guess, it’s a way of introducing students to something new and probably in the future, someone might take interest in it. So here I am.
I did start a blog, a few months back. Fail. And then this one. I wrote several entries, a few of them I posted. The rest, I wasn’t really quite sure. I realized while I was reading my entries, that they just seemed kinda blah. So now they’re just in my laptop, waiting to be posted. It’s like I was thinking too much, so it made no sense at all. I wrote about water, fruits, etc. Tell me about it, I didn’t know where they came from. It was supposed to be random thoughts that made sense, but it didn’t. It was supposed to be a blog where I could share my stories, thoughts that came to mind which I just can’t resist to tell.
I type my entries on my laptop so what happens is I keep on editing and editing and editing it over and over and over again. Need I stress on that more? And sometimes, I get so lazy to turn on my laptop.(except when I want to play Sims3.ha!)
So I have come to a new way of sharing my thoughts, I’m gonna write it first on my journal (I miss writing using my hand. Haha). And I’m gonna type it on my laptop, as it is and publish it.
I’m proud to say that this one came straight from my journal, which is just an ordinary notebook from high school that I never used.
I promised you in my first entry that this blog is gonna be different. I’m gonna write whatever’s in my head, in my stomach, wherever. But I promise you it will surely come from the heart, or pass by it. It’s gonna be more me. I hope:) Here’s to this being more ME:)

Tim Gets the Boot On Idol Gives Back
Comeback kid got voted off last week, leaving 6 of the Idol hopefuls.
I’m not a Tim Urban fan, but I did like some of the songs he sang during the competition. One of which is the Beatles’ song that he did-- All My Loving, Hallelujah, and Come On Get Higher-- where Ellen even gave him a big hug on stage. Thinking about his first live show, I believe that he really got better as Idol progressed. He is charming, laidback, boy-next-door type. He has a nice voice, good musician. However, I didn’t see him much of an American Idol. When you’re on the show, you have to be all out, it should be A performance, you give the people a show. Although, Tim showed us that he was a fun performer, I liked him better singing chill songs with his guitar. I actually like the Goo Goo Dolls song that he sang-- Better Days but everyone was really trying hard to step it up. He has been in the bottom several times, and he has been given bad critiques from the judges, but what I love about him is that he just takes it all in, not being too much defensive, and he just gives all of us his big, charming smile. I’m gonna miss that.
So there’s 6 left in the competition. The favorites are very obvious.
Crystal Bowersox
She’s obviously one of the judges’ favorites, singing in a “different league” among everyone else. I didn’t like her in the beginning ‘cause she seems a bit weird. But I’m starting to like her now. Especially when she said that Lee and Andrew Garcia are gonna live happily ever after and have Danny Gowkey babies. (Hahahaha, oo nga! Puwede!)
Lee DeWyze
He’s a favorite too, and my bet for Idol. He’s kind of a shy-type, which I love about him. He’s keeps on getting better, and his gaining more confidence. Plus, I lovelovelove his taste in songs! When I see him, I remember Danny Gowkey and David Cook and I don’t know why, probably the Ds.
Siobhan Magnus
My girlfriends are going ga-ga over this girl. She’s their girl crush, and I think if they could, they would ask her to be their girlfriend. Lol. She’s also weird, punk (love that she got a Mohawk, love the tattoos but not the nose ring, love the clothes, love that she‘s different). She actually started out really, really good, but I don’t know what happened. I like her voice but sometimes it’s kind of nasal. I don’t like the screaming, you can belt out without screaming. She loves picking those big, popular songs, and that’s just - pressure, because you will always be compared to the original. The judges are kind of disappointed. I really hope that she gets on track again.
Casey James
I didn’t like his performance this week but he’s really gotten better over the weeks. He’s such a good musician, and I like his voice. Bummed out that his in the bottom 3. He just has to step it up, let it all out.
Michael Lynch
Big Mike’s really got it on. Lots of people said that it was too early to give the save. But it was really a gooooood save. 3 people got voted off already after Mike was saved. He wasn’t even in the bottom for the last 2 weeks. What an ego boost, although he doesn’t need more of that. I like his voice too, but he comes off as mayabang. I don’t know if you have noticed, but every time he’s told that he’s safe, he crosses his fingers, closes his eyes, breathes out. I think he’s not mayabang naman, pero gano’n lang ‘yung dating niya. Funny ‘cause Simon commented about the song Hero (I love that song), he thought of Spiderman. I know it’s in the soundtrack, benta lang niya talaga sakin. I hope he stays longer.
Aaron Kelly
He’s 16? so young. He has a nice voice. I hate it when he is compared to David Archuleta. Yeah, they got on the show when they were 16? But he’s NO Archuleta (David‘s die-hard fans are probably in raged with the comparison). I find it funny when he sings, ‘cause he sways in this weird, awkward, sort of cute way. Hehehe. But I think he also needs to step it up, because he keeps on doing the same thing over and over again, and it’s boring. If he doesn’t, I think he’s next to gooo.
I love the Idol Gives Back show. I love the Black Eyed Peas. I lovelovelove Alicia Keys. Damn, what a perfomance!!! But I didn’t like the part wherein, George Lopez and Wanda Sykes were making fun of Simon. (I love the other jokes though) Poor Simon, give him a break. I’ve been watching Idol since Fantasia’s season, season 3? And he’s been REALLY nice this year. Must be the loooooove:)
Anyway, I’m just so excited for next week! We’ll see what happens.

Just Love
You know the movie, If Only? If you haven’t watched it, then I don‘t know what I‘m gonna do to you, I can give you a copy or better yet, come to my house and we’ll watch it together :) It stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and this really cute Brit(I think) guy, Paul Nicholls.
You probably want to save the movie for some sappy bonding moments with your girlfriends so you guys can cry together, or with your boyfriend/girlfriend or your girl/guy bestfriend (whatever!) so the guy can watch the girl cry while her head’s resting on his shoulder. (100+ kilig points for you!):P
I’m not gonna make a review (although I think I will make kwento of the movie ALL THE TIME). I just wanted to share one of my favorite scenes which also plays a significant role in the movie. It’s the one with Ian, the lead guy, and the cab driver (their first scene together). Here’s how it goes…
Ian gets into this cab, and the driver kinda knows their having problems with their relationship (go figure, hahaha)
Cab Driver: .. And you’re having problems with you love life…
Ian: How in the world did you know that?
(I didn‘t understand much of what he said, but it kind of went like this-- Cab driver tells him, that being in his profession doesn’t mean, that he doesn’t know the problems of the heart )
Cab Driver: So, what’s the trouble?
Ian: Nah, don’t wanna talk about it.
Cab Driver: That’s a good idea, the thing will probably just fix itself. (I know, right?)
Ian: I can’t seem to make her happy… How can you love someone and not know how… how to love them?
Cab Driver: So, you do love her?
Ian: Yes, very much.
Cab Driver: Well, that’s all that matters.
Ian: She’s going away tomorrow, two weeks. She wants me to go with her.
Cab Driver: What if she never came back?
Ian: What sort of question is that?
Cab Driver: Come on, picture it. You wave goodbye at the airport, she gets on the airplane, you never see her again. Could you live with that?
Ian: No… No… I couldn’t.
Cab Driver: Well, you know what to do. Appreciate her, with what you have. Just love her.
This particular scene, never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Just thinking about the movie, makes me cry. It probably won’t make any sense to you, but it does for me, and that’s another story.
Got lots of reasons why I loooooooove this movie. And if you haven’t watched it yet, you have to.
I believe that each of us, deep inside, we just wanted to be loved, and make the people we truly care about FEEL that we do love them.
Sometimes it can really be hard to show how much we love someone, probably because of fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of getting hurt. Because sometimes, it isn’t reciprocated as much as we wanted to. --and that sucks
Sometimes, we love but we just can’t make them feel that we do. Fear of not knowing how. Fear of not knowing what’s gonna happen next. We overthink. We get scared. --and that sucks even more
How do you show someone that you love him/her?
Obviously, I’m NOOO expert on the subject.
Come to think of it, the cab driver pretty much said it already…

again...
Hey you! So here I am, starting a new blog AGAIN. Let me tell you about my blogging history…
My first blog was for my Communication Technology class back in 2008. My partner--Kail Baylosis and I were working on creating communication channels for an organization using Open Source Softwares. It was supposed to narrate our experiences in working on the projects. Let’s say, it didn’t really work out. It didn’t last, I don’t even remember what we placed in there. We were just so busy working on the project that we didn’t have the time to blog. But hopefully, we can revive that, and let’s see what happens.
My second blog, Yummy Experiences, was really something that I wanted to do during that time. It was probably in September of 2009. It was supposed to be a food blog because I love to eat (not cook, only eat). I really wanted to blog. But after my first entry, well, you probably know what happened to that. As my friends say, my blog was an “epic fail” attempt. Haha:)) I agree, but you have to hear me out. I started the blog, when we started working on our thesis. Tell me about it. So it was really just bad timing. And it turned out that I didn’t want to write something about food all the time.
I did use some blog features in Multiply and Friendster, but it turned out to be just a bunch of reposts.
So why am I blogging now? Well, I just wanted to start anew. I just graduated last February and am looking for the job that would fit me. And yes, that makes me part of the newly grads-slash-unemployed pop. Thought that once I graduate from college, it’s gonna be lalala. But NO (hey, there goes an idea for my next blog entry).
I’ve got nothing else to do, so why not? I am actually not the blogger type. I am more of the sit-on-the-couch-or-stay-in-bed-all-day-and-watch-TV-when-I’m-home-and-chat-all-day-with-friends-when-I’m-out kind. I’m super makwento, I think, I have never ran out of things to say, even to a stranger. Haha:))
But since I really don’t get to talk as much now, well, I could probably blog about them:)
Why xooomanydoubles? Hmmy, my nick name’s got a double a and a double n, that’s actually it. My friends say there are just so many, so it kind of stuck. I’ll probably change it sometime. Just can’t find the right one.
This blog is me sharing what I like, what I want to do, what I’ve been up to, my thoughts, whatever I know that I wanted you guys to know too, and all that stuff. It’s me sharing a piece of my life with youJ
Hope I could keep this up, and keep you updated. Thank you so much for reading my first entry, appreciate it a lot!
Shoutout to one of my best friends, Mei Abaya. Thank you BC for encouraging me to blog again!J
Kudos to the people who never tire of blogging and sharing a piece of them every time they do!
